Objective
To prepare participants to qualify as Radiation Safety Officers (R.S.O.) for full-scale, gamma irradiation facilities. Local regulations should be consulted for R.S.O. requirements.
Participants
This course is intended for individuals designated to become Radiation Safety Officers in organizations using or intending to purchase an industrial irradiator. Prerequisites: Radiation Safety and Industrial Irradiator Operator courses or equivalent.
Frequency and Duration
This five-day course is usually offered once or twice a year. Additional courses can be scheduled for groups of five or more. This course can also be delivered at other locations if an industrial irradiator is available.
