Start Your TheraSphere Program
So you've heard about TheraSphere® and would like to know how to begin the process of offering this product to your patients. Contact us and we can discuss the feasibility and benefits of introducing a TheraSphere® program at your institution. One of our sales professionals will coordinate an Introductory Meeting to present TheraSphere® to your team and other interested individuals at your institution.
The introductory meeting will discuss TheraSphere®:
- Clinical experience
- Patient selection
- Reimbursement
- Treatment indication and contraindications
- Regulatory considerations
We will assist you in determining what's involved to establish your institution as a Treatment Center and can help to develop a favourable business case. Once you've decided to become a Treatment Center, we facilitate the training process by enrolling you in what we refer to as "TheraSphere® University".
TheraSphere® University
TheraSphere® University is held in Chicago in association with Dr Riad Salem, Director of Interventional Oncology at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, and his team of specialists. Training will consist of didactic lectures that will cover the entire spectrum of treating patients with TheraSphere®, including patient selection, dosimetry, infusion techniques, clinical considerations, and radiation safety issues. Teaching points and pitfalls to avoid will be discussed. You will be able to discuss several clinical case scenarios, as well as have the opportunity to consult with members of Dr. Salem's team.
Continuing Support
Following your training at TheraSphere® University, we will further support your team through an on-site training process. This provides the opportunity for timely consultation with our Specialists during these initial administrations at your facility. This proctoring support helps facilitate a smooth transition from training to practical usage at your institution.
